LIFELONG LEARNING Lifelong Learning (LLL) is an educational program at the Mahone Bay Centre offered in the fall, winter and spring. The program has several components: Lectures, “Conversations with...”, Seniors College Association of Nova Scotia (SCANS) courses and more. The Lecture Series are presentations on topics of general interest, such as public policy, philosophy, religion, history, science, culture, the arts, and literature. These presentations are usually scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of the month. No registration is required and all are welcome to attend. There is no fee but donations are gratefully accepted. Suggested donation: $5. The “Conversations with ...” series is a more informal sharing of the personal experiences by local people and these presentations are usually scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the month. No fee but donations are welcome.
SCANS - SENIORS COLLEGE ASSOCIATION OF NOVA SCOTIA To take courses you must join SCANS at a cost of $135 per year (fee subject to change). This allows you to take as many SCANS courses as you wish for one year in Bedford, Chester, Dartmouth, Halifax, Liverpool, Mahone Bay, Truro and Tantallon. QUEST QUEST is an interactive group exploring the many facets and resources of the current convergence of science and spirituality. We look for ways to integrate the insights into our daily lives.
